Don’t forget to visit Good Night, Sleep Tight: Art from Children’s Literature open through May 5, 2015 – on select Saturday mornings keep your PJ’s on and head to the Museum for Bedtime Stories… in the Morning!

Upcoming Bedtime Stories Saturdays: Saturday, March 21 from 11 am – 12 pm

Join us for bedtime stories in the morning! Wear your pajamas, have a seat in the special exhibition Good Night, Sleep Tight: Art from Children’s Literature and listen to stories about going to sleep...and about not wanting to go to sleep. See original illustrations from classic and contemporary children’s books and enjoy a morning of reading. Included free with Museum admission.

Children’s Tea: A Teddy Bear Tea – reserve space for you and your sweetie!

Create a treasured Winter Vacation tradition for you and your children or grandchildren by enjoying a Children’s Tea at the Concord Museum. Bring a favorite teddy or stuffed toy along.

Friday and Saturday, March 20 and 21, 2015

Seatings at 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm

Members $15/person, Non-members $20/person

Make the day a special outing by sipping cocoa or tea in the Concord Museum’s elegant Brooke Hall while enjoying sweet treats. Sweets are provided by a variety of area bakers and tea is served with jewel-like silken tea infusers crafted by Tea Forté of Concord. The afternoon experience is always a memorable one. Take part in a simple craft. Bring a favorite teddy or stuffed toy along.

Good Night, Sleep Tight: Art from Children’s Literature (open through May 3, 2015) an exhibition of original children’s book illustrations related to sleep, nighttime, going to bed, dreams, and lullabies. The work of Tomie dePaola, Salley Mavor, Melissa Sweet, Ilse Plume, Pamela Zagarenski, Beth Krommes, and Peter H. Reynolds, among others, are on display. Also included in the exhibition is a Frank Thayer Merrill illustration from the Roberts Brothers 1880 edition of Little Women. Bring the kids!
