From suspending meters to giveaway events, the town is pulling all the stops to support businesses as they reopen.

CONCORD, MA — Concord businesses are reopening and the town is pulling all the stops to encourage residents to support them. Concord's Town Manager Stephen Crane issued a notice to the community on Thursday listing ways residents can support businesses in town.

Concord Together, a coalition of businesses in town, created an event called Summer Solstice Event, as a way for residents to support businesses while potentially winning prizes. The event has resident fill their event cards with stamps from different businesses around town and submit the cards as entry to gift card and grand prize drawings. Residents can go to ConcordTogether.com and print out the "Passport to Summer" card that has 10 empty squares. Once the card is filled in all 10 squares, add your name and email and drop it off at the Visitors Center located at 58 Main Street or email it to the address on the passport to enter the giveaways.

The chamber of Commerce has its own program as well, the Gift of Concord. The gift certificate program can be used in any local business. The certificates can be purchased at Cambridge Trust Bank located at 75 Main Street in Concord.
