Concord July 4th Festivities: 2018 Guide

On July 4, Concord has a couple different activities going on including an annual picnic and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.

CONCORD, MA — Come celebrate at one of the birth places of the American Revolution and our independence. On July 4, Concord has a couple different activities going on including a reading of a the Declaration of Independence and the town's annual Picnic In The Park.

Join park rangers and volunteers at North Bridge for a live reading of the Declaration of Independence. Come celebrate the role Concord played in shaping American independence.

The event is free and begins promptly at 1 p.m. North Bridge is located at 174 Liberty Street.

Concord's annual Picnic in the Park will once again be taking place at Emerson Field. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. come enjoy a day of music, food, and activities for all ages.

Whether you go to one or both events, it's important to remember to dress for the heat. The Weather Channel said temperatures could reach a high of 91 degrees.
