Concord Warns About Utility Call Scam

Scammers are targeting customers of Concord Municipal Light Program.

CONCORD, MA — Concord officials are warning residents to beware of a new phone scam that is targeting Concord Municipal Light Program customers.

Concord Municipal Light Program customers have reported they received calls with the same caller ID number as the utility company. The company said the calls are a scam. If customers want to verify, they can hang up and call the company number provided on the website.

CMLP said customers should not provide any personal information. CMLP would never require you to give a credit card or purchase a debit card, the company said.
