Concordia Consort: Italian Music July 30 in Concord
Enjoy a musical trip to Renaissance Italy at Trinity Episcopal Church, 81 Elm Street in Concord.

Concordia Consort, ensemble in residence at Trinity Episcopal Church in Concord, presents Bella Italia, a musical tour of Renaissance Italy, for the Tuesday, July 30 Tea Time Recital in Trinity's air-conditioned Parish Hall off River Street in Concord. The program starts at 4 PM and will last about 35 minutes. Refreshments and conversation follow the music. Admission is FREE; your donation supports this summer series.
Guest soprano Kendra Comstock will sing songs to welcome Spring, celebrate Love, and tell stories of some dodgy street merchants. In addition, she will sing a motet by Parabosco based on the Gregorian chant Da pacem Domine, and an Easter motet by Anerio.
Accompanying her are members of Concordia Consort: Sheila Beardslee, Nouri Newman, and Brian Warnock. In addition to performing with their guest vocalist, Concordia's members will play several Renaissance dances, a psalm setting by Lasso, and a canzona by Andrea Gabrieli.

Concordia Consort recently appeared in concert with the Boston Recorder Orchestra and performed as part of the American Recorder Society's Relay Recitals during the June 2019 Boston Early Music Festival.
