Concord's Visitor Center Reopening: Take A Spring Tour
The center has new and old tours for all ages, including a Concord 101 tour and a women's history tour.

CONCORD, MA — The weather is warming, which means the return of the Concord visitor’s center and spring walking tours. From April 5 to April 18, the center will be open for tours Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Beginning April 19, tours will be open everyday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Have a kid home for spring break? The Visitor's Center has something for them.

Concord 101 Walking Tour-
This 45-minute tour is intended for elementary-age kids to learn more about Concord. It covers topics from the indigenous population that once lived in Concord to an infamous bank robbery. It’s less than one mile and is mostly flat, apart from one steep hill.

The tour is $15 for adults, seniors and college students. Kids ages 6 to 17 get in for $12, and a family of 4 pays $45.
Women of Concord Walking Tour-
“In a town famous for the independent spirit of its people, Concord’s women have always been leaders, fighting for justice and creating a uniquely American vision in literature and art,” the center said in a release. “Come with us to hear the stories of these remarkable women, and see the places where they made their mark.”

The tour begins in front of the Old Manse at 269 Monument Street and continues into Concord Center. This tour is on April 3, 10, and 17 at 1 p.m., with a cost of $30 per person. Each tour member will get a complimentary ticket to see the special exhibit “Every Path Laid Open.”
