David Herlihy: Father of 3, Youth Hockey Volunteer Dies at 43
He worked in the Maynard Public School system for 22 years.

David M. Herlihy, 43, of Acton died unexpectedly on Sunday October 26, 2014. He was the beloved husband of twenty-two years of Carrie (Dearden) Herlihy and father of Cody, Camden and Cade Herlihy, all of Acton.
Born in Concord on October 1, 1971 he was the son of Paul A. and Judith A. (Dee) Herlihy of Acton.

He attended Acton public schools and was a 1989 graduate of Acton Boxborough High School.
He was a twenty-two year employee of the Maynard Public Schools, most recently serving as Head Custodian. An avid Boston Bruins hockey fan, he volunteered as a coach in the Acton Youth Hockey league. He also loved music and playing horseshoes.

In addition to his wife, children and parents, survivors include his brothers, Paul Herlihy Jr. and Sean Herlihy, and his wife Carrie’s family, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was also the brother of the late Brian Herlihy.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday November 2nd from 4 to 8 pm in the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. Services and interment on Monday November 3rd will be private.
