Liquor License Hiccup for Incoming Concord Restaurant
The Select Board has postponed the transfer of a liquor license from Bondir to Fiorella's, according to the Concord Journal.

CONCORD, MA – A group of area Italian eateries slated to take over the Bondir space on Walden Street is having difficulty securing a liquor license amid questions over the background of the owner's husband. According to a Concord Journal report, the transferring of Bondir's license to Fiorella's was postponed by the Concord Select Board at its May 8 meeting.
Bondir owner Jason Bond confirmed to Boston Restaurant Talk in March that Fiorella's would replace Bondir, months after Bond announced his restaurant's closing. But Concord Police Chief Joseph O'Connor told the Select Board the department is seeking to deny the transfer of the license given the history of Remon Karian, husband of Genevieve Karian, who is listed as the owner of Fiorella's Concord, the Journal reported.
A lawyer for Genevieve Karian has stated that her husband's legal troubles occurred when he was in college and his record has remained clean ever since.
