1. 'Finding Courage,' A C4RJ Film Premiere: At 6 p.m. this Wednesday, Oct. 23, Temple Kerem Shalom will host a free screening of "Finding Courage: Addressing Harm with Restorative Justice Circles," the debut film produced by Communities for Restorative Justice. Get the details here.Â
2. Public Meetings Preview: According to the town website, here's the week's lineup of public meetings:Â
- Monday, Oct. 21: the Board of Selectmen at 7 p.m. and the Community Preservation Committee at 7:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, Oct. 22: the Town Governance Study Committee at 8 a.m., the Conservation Restriction Stewardship Committee at 3 p.m., the Concord & Concord-Carlisle Regional School Committees-Joint Meeting at 6:30 p.m., the Planning Board at 7 p.m., the Millbrook Tarry Task Force at 7:15 p.m., the Concord Cultural Council at 7:30 p.m. and the Recreation Commission at 7:30 p.m.Â
- Wednesday, Oct. 23: the Youth Advisory Board at 7:30 a.m. and the Historical Commission at 7 p.m.Â
- Thursday, Oct. 24: the Board of Assessors at 7 p.m., the Concord Carlisle At Play -- Community Meeting at 7 p.m., the Finance Committee at 7:30 p.m. and the Hanscom Area Towns Committee (HATS) at 7:30 p.m.Â
4. Emerson Umbrella Presents 'Side Show': At 8 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 25, Emerson Umbrella will debut its production of the rarely staged Broadway musical, SIDE SHOW, an orchestra-backed musical that follows the lives of co-joined twins Violet and Daisy Hilton on their meteoric rise to fame during the Depression backdrop of the 1930s. Get the details here.Â
5. "The Climate Crisis: Why Only a Movement Can Save Us": Craig Altemose, executive director of the Better Future Project, will kick-off a new speaker series focusing on solutions to the climate crisis at 7:30 p.m. this Friday, Oct. 25, at First Parish in Concord. Get the details here.Â
