At the age of fourteen she travelled to the United States to join her father and stepmother, Rose (Marino) D’Agostino in East Boston. She attended trade school where she studied English and sewing amongst other subjects. She met Peter, her beloved, late husband of 57 years at his father's dry cleaning business where they worked together. Nancy and Peter married on September 3, 1944. They made their first home in Cambridge, Massachusetts and in 1958 moved to Concord, Massachusetts. Together they had six children. She was truly a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Of her many talents it was her meticulous sewing and gift for cooking and baking that she was so known for. She hosted many delicious Italian dinners for family and friends. She kept the food traditions of her Italian culture during the holidays and passed them along to her children.

She was a devout Catholic and a faithful parishioner at Our Lady Help of Christian Church in West Concord where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters.
