CONCORD, MA — Concord is bracing for the incoming nor'easter to throw a blanket of snow over the town and closed town offices early on Monday.

Concord offices closed at 11:30 a.m. on Monday and will likely stay closed on Tuesday. Town employees will work remote in the meantime.

The storm also disrupted scheduled trash pickup — Tuesday's usual pickup is delayed to Saturday. If your trash is picked up on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday, the pickup will not be delayed and your pickup will occur on your normal day. Officials reminded residents to be extra cautious to place barrels and bins at the edge of their driveway so that pedestrians and sidewalk plows can pass safely.

Concord-Carlisle Public Schools also implemented a half-day on Monday due to the storm. The half-day means there is no afternoon preschool. The elementary schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. with no remote learning in the afternoon. Concord Middle School will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. and Concord Carlisle High School at 11:35 a.m.

The National Weather Service is forecasting 7-15 inches of wet, heavy snow, with the coast and Cape and Islands receiving just a coating. A winter storm warning is in effect throughout the state.
