Pedestrian Killed In Crash On Thoreau Street In Concord
The victim was identified as an adult woman.
CONCORD, MA — An adult woman died after she was hit by a driver on Thoreau Street in Concord Thursday, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's Office.
The crash happened at 10:30 a.m. near Main Street. Witnesses told WCVB the woman was pinned under the car and it took rescuers 20 minutes to free her. She was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver stayed at the scene. The DA's office said there's an "open and ongoing" investigation involving Concord police and Massachusetts State Police.
