Police Log: Reported Trash Dumping, Suspicious Activity

Saturday, Oct. 12

12:59 a.m. – Police responded to a report of a suspicious person who took off behind Vanderhoof Hardware on Main Street. Officers checked the area, but were unable to find any issues.

1:17 a.m. – An officer radioed in to report checking on a vehicle with its interior lights on at Cambridge Turnpike. The homeowner was notified, and it was an instance of apparent neglect.

8:14 a.m. – Police responded to a report of trash dumping involving a truck in the vicinity of Cousins Field by the river. The responding officer reported finding no issues in what the incident report described as a composting area for the community garden.

3:02 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported motor vehicle accident in the area of the Route 2 rotary and Commonwealth Avenue.

5:20 p.m. – An Annursnac Hill Road resident called to ask why there are “No Parking” signs posted at the shoulder of Lexington and Old Bedford roads. According to the incident report, the signs were placed there, on National Park Service Property, as a public safety measure.

7:25 p.m. – Police responded to a report of an unknown vehicle pulling into the Concord Ice Company on Walden Street. The responding officer reported the vehicle checked OK.

8:02 p.m. – A 911 misdial came in from Concord Park.

11:36 p.m. – A 911 call came in from a Nathan Pratt Drive resident reporting she was followed by an unknown vehicle from Main Street to her home.

Sunday, Oct. 13

12:46 a.m. – An officer radioed into report checking on a vehicle in the area of Main and Water streets. There were two people inside, including one who lived at that location, according to the incident report.

9:12 a.m. – A man came into the station and dropped off a black duffle bag he found on Thoreau Street, which contained clothing and other items belonging to a young woman. Police found an ID identifying the female as a Buckingham, Browne and Nichols, and contacted the school to advise of the found property.

9:49 a.m. – Police responded to North Bridge Antiques for a report of past shoplifting at the Walden Street store.

10:56 a.m. – A parking complaint came in reporting vehicles parked on Stow Street creating a hazard for people pulling out of Peter Bulkeley Terrace. The responding officer reported no parking violations or hazards found.

4:54 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 2 and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, a Littleton man was cited for operating a motor vehicle with his license suspended and no inspection sticker.

5:54 p.m. – A 911 call came in reporting the erratic operation of a motor vehicle in the area of Lexington Road and Cambridge Turnpike, where a car was reportedly tailgating and honking at other vehicles.

7:22 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Walden Pond, a Taunton woman was cited for operating an unregistered, uninsured motor vehicle.  

8:04 p.m. – A Concord man came into the station to drop off a cell phone he found in the area of Old Marlboro and Drum Hill roads.
