Police Log: Vandalism, a Hit-and-Run and Heroin

Saturday, Dec. 21
1:25 a.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Sudbury and Wheeler roads, a Bedford man was given a verbal warning for speeding and defective equipment.
6:49 a.m. – A 911 call came in from a patient Emerson Hospital reporting another patient causing a disturbance. Police spoke with a nurse, who said the situation was under control.

10:38 a.m. – A Harrington Ave resident called to report losing a brown Coach wristlet earlier in the week.
12:57 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the area of Rout 2 and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner, an Auburndale man was given a verbal warning for an inspection sticker violation.

1:44 p.m. – Police responded to a reported motor vehicle accident a parking lot on Main Street.
2:40 p.m. – An officer radioed in to report traffic issues in the area of River and Elm streets. Two vehicles in the area were moved by their owners, and a “No Parking” sign was placed there.
5:58 p.m. – As a result of a motor vehicle stop in the by the gas station at Crosby’s Corner, a Boston man was summonsed for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked registration, uninsured motor vehicle and operating with his license suspended.
6:33 p.m. – A Carlisle resident called to report his bicycle was stolen from the Concord Depot on Dec. 20.
7:36 p.m. – Police located Toyota Yaris off Old Powder Mill Road, which had previously been reported stolen to Lincoln Police.
8:17 p.m. – A call came in reporting a small stray dog loose in the area of Gifford Lane.
9:01 p.m. – Officers investigated a reported hit-and-run accident that occurred in the municipal lot off Walden Street.
Sunday, Dec. 22
12:40 a.m. – A 911 call came in reporting a wrecker operating erratically on Lowell Road passing Pond View Lane. The vehicle then passed into Carlisle, where the operator was reportedly placed into custody by Carlisle Police.
1:36 p.m. – An anonymous complaint came in reporting a vehicle was blocking the handicap ramp at the Performing Arts Center at 51 Walden.
2:07 p.m. – A man came into the station to report his vehicle had been vandalized while parked at the Fenn School a little while earlier.
6:41 p.m. – Acton Police called requesting a check of a Bedford Street address for a female who reportedly left Acton on food after having an argument with her mother and saying she was going to buy heroin. Concord Police located the woman in a vehicle on Old Bedford Road. She was transported to Emerson Hospital and will be summonsed for possession of a Class A substance.
