Salvatore A. Sepe, 86, Lifelong Concord Resident

Concord's town flag will fly at half-staff Tuesday in honor of Salvatore's service during the Korean conflict.

CONCORD, MA—Salvatore A. Sepe, 86, a lifelong Concord resident died Friday July 15, 2016 at Emerson Hospital in Concord.

Born in Concord on December 17, 1929 he was the beloved son of the late Anthony and Florence (Paduano) Sepe. He attended Concord Public Schools, was a 1949 graduate of Concord High School, and later graduated from East Coast Aero Tech in Bedford.

During the Korean Conflict, Mr. Sepe served in the United States Air Force with the 60th Air Police Squadron, stationed in Germany.

For many years, prior to his retirement, Mr. Sepe was self-employed as a general contractor in Concord. Previously, he was an employee of Capital Airlines and Trans World Airlines, both in Washington DC and Boston.

An avid golfer, he was a member of the Maynard Country Club and the Chelmsford Country Club.

He was the beloved brother of Mary McGeoch of Mashpee, Anna Wallace of Centerville and the late Matthew and Jack Sepe. He was also the loving uncle of Ann Marie Wright of Maynard, Cynthia Altebrando of Port Jefferson, NY and Matthew and Richard Sepe, both of Westford and is also survived by 8 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held Tuesday July 19th from the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center, at 9 am followed by a funeral Mass in Holy Family Parish, Monument Square, Concord Center at 10 am. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Bernard’s Cemetery, Concord, Visiting hours at the Dee Funeral Home will be held on Monday July 18th from 4 to 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Bedford VAMC Patient Programs, c/o Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, 200 Springs Road, Bedford, MA 01730 (www.bedford.va.gov).
