The Scholarship Fund Application Process
Press Release from The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle
Does your college student need tuition money? Thanks to the generosity and support of our community, every year many students receive scholarships from The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle, and from its Affiliates, to help them achieve their goals of higher education. Last spring, 13 high school seniors and 41 students already in college received awards totaling over $252,000 with an average scholarship value exceeding $6,000 for first year students! Each award is made for one academic year and students are encouraged to reapply for an award during each of their four years. Accredited post-secondary training programs such as technical or trade schools count as well!
Your high school seniors have now completed their college applications and are eagerly awaiting admission notifications. While acceptance letters are cause for celebration, the challenge of financing higher education can be daunting. The annual cost of attending a four-year college has risen steadily and now exceeds $30,000 at UMass Amherst and has surpassed $70,000 at many of the colleges and universities that last year’s scholarship applicants chose to attend. If paying these fees is overwhelming to your family, now is the time to apply for need-based post-secondary scholarships. To be eligible for consideration, students must have financial need as documented with the FAFSA and must have graduated from Concord Carlisle High School or have lived in, Concord or Carlisle.
These are the “Six Easy Steps to Apply”:

It is essential that these steps be followed closely. Every year some students delay requesting their official transcripts or submit the application too late for consideration.
For high school seniors with demonstrated financial need, if all three parts of the application (application, SAR, and official transcript) are complete and postmarked by the above deadline, the student will receive an email notification of their interview time. Interviews will be held on Tuesday, May 11th, 2021 at Concord-Carlisle High School or via Zoom.
