Spotlight on a 2020-2021 Award Recipient

Press Release from The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle

Isabella Eliot is one of this year’s hard-working awardees of The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle. Last year she made a smooth transition to college life at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, loving her classes and professors. In high school Isabella was a rower, a lacrosse and basketball player but in her first year she chose to focus on her academics and the friends she made. Her love of rowing won out this year and this fall she very much enjoyed her first semester as a college athlete and looks forward to returning to campus in the spring to continue to train with her team.

Isabella has decided to major in Economics and Writing and Rhetoric with her eye on pursuing a career in economic journalism. Isabella’s job on campus is in the financial aid office where she helps counsel students and parents on interpreting their aid packages and on the loan process.

The Trustees were pleased to be able to help support Isabella with the following named fund scholarships: the Bobby Gray Memorial Scholarship; the Wells A. Hall Memorial Scholarship, the Knights of Columbus Scholarship and the Trustees Scholarship.

With her sophomore fall semester wrapped up, Isabella says how very happy she was to be back on campus after the early closing last spring because of the coronavirus outbreak. She continues to be grateful for the financial support The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle has provided to help her to pursue her dreams.
