Danvers Winter Storm: Parking Ban Expires Tuesday Afternoon
The Danvers Department of Public Works ended the snow emergency parking ban as of 2 p.m.

DANVERS, MA — The Danvers Department of Public Works ended the snow emergency parking ban early Tuesday afternoon.
The parking ban concluded about 2 p.m.
"Thank you for your cooperation as we cleared the roads from the storm," Danvers DPW said.

Trash and recycling pickup will not be conducted on Tuesday and will be delayed one day through the end of the week.
Danvers Public Schools had an early dismissal on Monday and stayed with a remote learning model on Tuesday after a messy winter storm brought high winds and heavy rain to the immediate coast and huge snow totals just a few miles inland.

Danvers Public Schools said on Monday that all school buildings will be closed for the day Tuesday and that principals would follow up regarding level-based schedules.
There will be no lunch delivery.
Some Danvers residents were left in the dark and cold Monday night after a car accident on North Street into a utility pole. The outage was in the area of North Street from Summer Street to Locust Street.
Danvers High School and the Holten Richmond Middle School released students at 12:45 p.m. on Monday. The elementary schools released at 1:15 p.m. Preschool released at noon.
All after school activities were canceled.
The Danvers Public Library closed at 2 p.m. on Monday, including all on-call help, email services, pickups and returns.
The state canceled the "Stop the Spread" free coronavirus testing at Old Town Hall during the day on Tuesday.
A strong Northeast wind caused a massive variance between snow totals along the coast and those just a few miles inland. While the immediate coast on the North and South shores received little, if any, snow, Wilmington was a jackpot town just 15 miles inland with 20 inches.
Most communities in Middlesex, Worcester and inland Essex counties were hit with more than a foot of snow.
