8 Weekend Arrests in Danvers

The following is an excerpt from the Danvers Police log:

Friday, Jan. 18

  • Police were called to Sports Authority on report of an individual possibly carrying an airsoft gun. Police said the call was unfounded.
  • Police were called to Water Street on report of an intoxicated person staggering in the road at 6:39 p.m. Police did not find the person in question.
  • At 8:40 p.m. police arrested David Ahern, 44, of 36A Spring St. on charges of operating with a suspended license and speeding.
  • An intoxicated person was reported at the Peabody Institute Library at 9:34 p.m.

Saturday, Jan. 19

  • At 1:46 a.m. police arrested Vilfrid Tokrri, 23, of 45 Shore Dr., on charges of operating under the influence of liquor, improper turn, and a marked lanes violation. 
  • Police were called to a dispute between brothers on Dyer Court at 2:39 p.m.
  • At 3:20 p.m. police arrested Letizia Passanisi, 26, of 20 Blaine Ave. in Beverly, on charges of shoplifting at Walmart.
  • At 5:40 p.m. police arrested two at Walmart after they were caught allegedly stealing portable hard drives. Police arrested Kelsey Grodin, 23, of 10 Gilbert St. in Lawrence on charges of shoplifting and receiving stolen property. Timothy Curtis, 32, of 10 Gilbert St. in Lawrence, was arrested on charges of shoplifting, receiving stolen property, and illegal possession of a knife. 
  • At 6:53 p.m. police arrested Pamela Taylor, 31, of 54 North Main St. in Brockton, on charges of receiving stolen property and writing a false check at Walmart.
  • At 7:30 p.m. police arrested Joseph Maloney, 27, of 4 Amerena Cir., on charges of shoplifting from Kohl's.
  • Police were called to Riveside Avenue at 8:43 p.m. on report of 'kids throwing things.' Police did not locate the kids in question.

Sunday, Jan. 20

  • Illegal dumping was reported at the corner of High and Purchase Street at 10:53 a.m.
  • Police were called to Crane Street at 11:02 a.m. on report of a dog limping. Animal Control was notified.
  • Police were called to Hollywood Hits on report of kids with marijuana at 3:41 p.m.
  • A person was struck in the head at Home Depot at 6:31 p.m. Police were called for medical aid.
  • A cat was reported struck by a vehicle on Holten Street at 7 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 21

  • At 10:48 a.m. police were called to Brown Road on report of a dead animal in the bushes. Animal Control was notified.
  • Gym equipment was reported stolen from Danvers Indoor Sports at 11:15 a.m. 
  • At 12:34 p.m. police arrested Shana Clancy, 22, of 23 Dodge St. in Gloucester, on charges of shoplifting at Kohl's.
  • A larceny from patients was reported at Hunt Nursing Home at 12:52 p.m.
