BTT North Shore's, Sean Rubchinuk Won at the NAGA Boston Grappling Championship, this past Saturday, February 15, 2020 in Hanover.
The North American Grappling Association (NAGA) is the world’s largest mixed grappling tournament circuit with over 750,000 competitors worldwide. NAGA awards custom engraved SAMURAI SWORDS to all non-expert Children & Teen 1st place winners.
Sean Rubchinuk took 1st place in the TEENS GI (MALE) / BEGINNER / 140 - 149.9 / 14-15 YEARS division, 1st place in the TEENS GI (MALE) / BEGINNER / 160 - 169.9 / 14-15 YEARS division and Mr. Rubchinuk took 2nd in the TEENS NO-GI (MALE) / BEGINNER / 140 - 149.9 / 14-15 YEARS division. Sean would've taken 1st but was disqualified for jumping into a guillotine choke. 4 out of his 6 matches were won with submissions.
Sean Rubchinuk trains at Brazilian Top Team North Shore in Danvers, Massachusetts. This was a big weekend for Mr. Rubchinuk, not only did he have a very dominant performance at NAGA, but he also received his first tip on his yellow belt this Sunday.
