(CultureHouse)

The CultureHouse Peabody Advisory Group announced today the programming schedule for the second week of the month-long pop-up community space on Main Street in Peabody. The programs expand upon the already successful opening week of events and will include game nights, live acoustic music, art workshops, and more.

Featured in the second week of programming are various pieces of gallery artwork by students at the Peabody Veterans Memorial High School, and a new front window display by visual artist Asia Scudder, who will also be hosting an art workshop.

"After an extremely positive and enjoyable week of live events and activities, CultureHouse Peabody is proving itself to be a welcoming asset to the community," said Emily Cooper, a member of the CultureHouse Peabody Advisory Group. "With this second week of programming, we wanted to expand the circle of program partners, performers, and artists to continue growing this space into a local watering hole where people can relax, enjoy themselves, and socialize with their neighbors."

The ongoing events and programming at CultureHouse Peabody are part of a month-long pop-up project to gather community input, study how the space is used, and develop an impact report detailing a plan for a potential longer-term space in the city. The research findings gathered from the participatory pop-up space will help local community members and stakeholders develop new models for economic recovery from the pandemic in Peabody.
