About CultureHouse Peabody
CultureHouse Peabody is a month-long pop-up community space. The space serves as a community living room, wi-fi lounge, kiosk, and space for small community classes. Ever since a group of Peabody residents reached out three years ago, we have been working to bring a CultureHouse space to the North Shore. Before the Pandemic began, Peabody, and cities across America, were already struggling with commercial vacancies downtown and a lack of public space. The economic and social impacts of COVID-19 have further exacerbated the issue. In the aftermath of COVID-19, CultureHouse Peabody will play an important role in the economic recovery of the city.
We will use the month we are open to pilot the concept and discover areas of improvement. After we close, we will put together an impact report detailing potential next steps for the project. The CultureHouse Peabody space will be following all COVID guidelines and regulations including capacity limitations. More information is available at culturehouse.cc/peabody.
