Danvers Beats Peabody To Advance To MA Little League Final Four
Danvers overcame a four-run deficit to win Saturday's sectional final in Andover.

ANDOVER, MA -- Danvers National Little League defeated Peabody West 7-6 Saturday in the Section 4 final, moving onto the state final four in Millbury next weekend. Danvers won Saturday's game with a walk-off, RBI by Jakob Hamel in extra innings. Danvers had to come back from a four-run deficit to force extra innings.
Next week's tournament is double elimination, with the winner advancing to the New England Region Tournament in Bristol, CT. The New England winner moves on to the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
No Massachusetts team has ever won the Little League World Series, but 10 teams have advanced to the international tournament. Peabody West went to Williamsport in 2009.
