Danvers Calls Peak Events For Energy Saving Program
Danvers called for peak savings events on Wednesday and Thursday.

DANVERS, MA – After the Danvers Peak Savings Program kicked off in mid-June, the program is heating up: Danvers called for peak events on Wednesday and Thursday this week. The program alerts people to reduce their electricity use during times of peak electricity usage (the hottest days of summer), and residents earn rewards for their participation.
Participating in the program is free, and reducing energy usage isn't necessary for every peak event. The program helps the town save money on power costs. According to the Peak Savings website, the program went from around 800 participants in 2015 to more than 1,200 users in 2016.
Businesses and residents can sign up for the program by clicking here. Electric customers in good standing can sign up at any time.
