Danvers Declares Snow Emergency, List Of Cancellations Grows

Patch will be updating this story throughout the afternoon Wednesday as we learn of more local cancellations.

DANVERS, MA -- The latest forecast is only calling for 6-8 inches of snow in Danvers, and much of that wet, sloppy, winter weather will come this afternoon and into the evening. With difficult driving expected, several events for Wednesday afternoon and evening have been canceled or postponed.

Meanwhile, the town will implement a snow emergency at 6 pm Wednesday night. During a parking ban, on-street parking is prohibited. Danvers expects the snow emergency to last 12 hours. The town is recommending the following lots for people who need a place to park:

  • Atrium Lot at High & Park Streets
  • Hobart Street Lot
  • Lot at Elm & Cherry Streets
  • Lot behind Brother’s

Patch will update this list as we learn of local cancellations:
