Danvers Fire Union Seeks To Honor Firefighter Graves
Local 2038 put flags on firefighter graves Sunday but is looking for notification of any that were missed in the town.
DANVERS, MA — Danvers Fire Local 2038 honored departed firefighters of the town during Firefighters' Memorial Sunday and the union is now looking to find any graves that it missed.
A brief ceremony was held in memory of the lost firefighters Sunday and then members of the Danvers Firefighters' Relief Association went to Annunciation Cemetary on Hobart Street and put "Loyal To Our Duty" flags on the gravestones of known firefighters.
"We're trying to track down as many members' graves as possible," the union said, "so please let us know if your loved one's grave does not have a FD flag and/or a marker."
