  • John F. Purington, formerly of Manchester-by-the-Sea, died Nov. 20. He was 70. Visiting Hours: Monday, Nov. 25, 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service: Tuesday, Nov. 26, 9 a.m. at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church. Burial will follow at Annunciation Cemetery.
    Ernest M. "Sonny" Nadeau, of San Diego, Calif. and formerly Danvers, died Nov. 19. He was 82. He served for 30 years in the U.S. Navy and retired as a Chief Boatswain's Mate in 1979. Funeral Service: Wednesday, Nov. 27, 10:30 a.m. at Saint Agnes Church in Middleton. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery in Middleton.

Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home

  • Donald L. Comeau, of Middleton and formerly Ipswich, died Nov. 21. He was 86. He served with the U.S. Navy Air Corps during World War II and was honorably discharged. A graveside service will be held Monday, Nov. 25 at 11 a.m. at Oakdale Cemetery in Middleton. All other services will be private.
  • Marion L. (Kearney) Staples, of Danvers, died Nov. 23. She was 96. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m. at Wadsworth Cemetery.
