Danvers Housing Facility Hosts Easter Event Year After Shutdown

The Linden at Danvers welcomed 50 family members for a multi-generational holiday more than one year into the coronavirus crisis.

DANVERS, MA — A year after most residents of The Linden at Danvers were shut off from their families amid the onset of the coronavirus health crisis, the leisure care community welcomed families for an Eastern egg hunt on Saturday.

About 50 people were on the campus Saturday morning for the hunt, cookie decorating, music, pictures and a special appearance from the Easter Bunny.

There was also summer bonnet decorating.

"The team at The Linden at Danvers has done an amazing job at keeping spirits up during the pandemic," said Pam Simpson, general manager at The Linden at Danvers. "But it's clear residents missed time with their families. It was so exciting for residents, their family members and staff to gather once again after a long year of isolation."
