Danvers Little Leaguers Advance To State Final
Danvers National beat Westboro 2-0 Saturday and will play Pittsfield in Sunday's final at 2 pm.
MILLBURY, MA -- The Danvers National Little League team beat Westboro 2-0 in Saturday's must-win game in Millbury. Danvers will play Pittsfield Sunday at 2 pm, with the winner advancing to the New England Championships in Bristol, CT. The winner of the New England championship will go on to play in next month's Little League World series.
Danvers broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning and held on for the win to finish the round-robin round of the tournament with a 2-1 record. In Saturday's other game, Pittsfield beat Medford 13-8.
