Danvers Masked Snow Tag Team Twins Ready For Expected Storm

The Danvers Department of Public Works said Tally the Snowman and Chip the Reindeer are poised to help measure any snow Saturday.

DANVERS, MA — Tally and Chip are back, masked up for 2020 and ready to go for Saturday's expected first snow of December.

Forecasts are calling for 2 to 4 inches of snow along the North Shore — with up to 9 inches inland in Massachusetts— but whatever falls the wooden wonder twins, by way of the Danvers Department of Public Works' forestry crew, will be there to help the Danvers DPW keep track of the flakes.

"They made it just in time," Danvers DPW said in announcing their return on Friday.

Tally and Chip will be manning their post at Danvers Town Hall throughout Saturday's storm.

Danvers DPW said that they duo, which are providing an example for residents with their mask-wearing habits, are available for photos.

However, those taking pictures together must also wear masks if they are not part of the same household, and must allow for social distancing from those around them.
