Danvers Police To Begin Rescheduling Firearms Permit Appointments
With the new fingerprint machine "up and running" police will contact those who had their appointments canceled after last one broke.
DANVERS, MA — Firearms permits will soon resume in Danvers after police reported the a new fingerprint machine is "up and running."
The department said those who had their appointments canceled over the past month with the previous machine on the fritz will have their appointments rescheduled first before any new applicants are scheduled.
"We will post an update when we add additional dates for new applicants," Danvers police said. "We appreciate the patience and cooperation."

Danvers police suspended processing new firearm permits and permit renewals issued through another department at the start of the September due to the broken fingerprint machine.
