Danvers Police To Hold 3 March Firearms Permit Processing Dates

Those seeking permits must bring all necessary documentation and follow the department's coronavirus-related guidelines.

DANVERS, MA — Danvers police will hold firearms licensing dates three times in March.

The department will conduct processing on March 10 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., March 18 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and March 27 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Danvers police said applicants are encouraged, but not required, to scan completed applications and support documentation to firearms@danversma.gov or mail them prior to coming to the station. Those who cannot do that should bring all necessary documents to the station for processing.

Those whose temperature reads higher than 98.6 degrees will be asked to leave the station and return for a permit no earlier than 14 days later.

Police said that because criminal investigation emergencies can arise at any time, applications are asked to check their email and Danvers police social media to verify appointments have not been canceled on a given day.
