Danvers To Resume Firearm Permit Processing Thursday

After postponing two dates in December, police will hold processing hours for new applicants and renewals issued from other communities.

DANVERS, MA — The Danvers police department will hold processing for new applicant firearm permits and license holders renewing a license from another city or town on Thursday.

After the previous two processing days in December were canceled, Thursday's hours will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Applicants should arrive with their application completed, a check for the permit fee and with all appropriate supporting documents. A list of those can be found here.

When applicants arrive at the station they will be required to sign the roster and provide a contact number. When it is time for them to be processed, applicants will receive a call from a blocked phone numbers with instructions to enter the building.

If the schedule fills up for the day, applicants will be asked to return at a later processing date.

Those without all required supporting documents will not be seen.
