Danvers Road Paving Starts Up For Spring
The town said Hobart Street is at the top of the paving list after the coronavirus delayed completion of water and gas line replacement.
DANVERS, MA — Hobart Street will be at the top of the list of repaving projects in Danvers this spring as the town begins its annual program.
Because of the coronavirus health crisis, some projects had to be delayed last year — including Hobart Street where the completion of work to replace water lines, gas lines and gas services could not be completed until late in the fall.
The work on Hobart Street this spring will include repaving, new handicap ramps and repairs to the sidewalk and curbing.

Danvers also plans resurfacing work on West Street, Green Street and Dyer Court — all of which had utility work done last summer.
The DPW said soon information on work and paving program activities will be readily available on its website. The revamped site will include a list of planned projects, along with work descriptions and intended start dates.

Pine Street, Reservoir Drive, Pentucket Street and several others could be included in this year paving schedule.
"We will post more information as the work gets closer, and we look forward to getting more streets resurfaced and up to the condition we expect," the DPW said.
