Danvers Selectmen Clear Hurdles For Outdoor Dining
The measure will make it easier for restaurants in Danvers to get cleared to serve customers in outside seating areas.

DANVERS, MA —Selectmen approved temporary rules Tuesday that will make it easier for Danvers restaurants and stores to begin serving customers in outside seating areas.
"This action was intended to streamline an approval process for local businesses at a time when every day counts," Town Manager Steve Bartha said.
The new rules allow staff to approve temporary changes to permits and licenses, including outdoor dining, retail, and entertainment. The permits issued by the planning department will expire when the state lifts the coronavirus emergency order which has been in place since March 15.
