Overdrive To Play Danvers Summer Concert Series Wednesday

DANVERS, MA – The Danvers Summer Concert Series is back, kicking off with The Shana Stack Band on Monday. All concerts start at 6 p.m. at the Rotary Pavilion at the Peabody Institute Library.

The New England Music Awards Band of the Year, The Shana Stack Band, will perform on Monday, July 10, sponsored by the Friends of Peabody Institute Library.

Overdrive – an eight-piece band playing dance music – will play on Wednesday, July 12, sponsored by the Danversport Yacht Club, Michaud Mitsubishi, and Pope Concert Fund.

Violin-powered rock and roll band The MERJ will perform on Monday, July 17, playing songs from the 1950s to today, sponsored by Aspen Roofing. Goodies Ice Cream will sponsor the Boston-based MSF Band, playing cover songs on Wednesday, July 19.

The Groove, a dance music cover band, will play on Monday, July 24, sponsored by St. Richard Church. The church will also be offering grilled food for purchase.

Oceanside Cabinets of Marblehead will sponsor Northshoremen, a barbershop chorus that covers everything from classics to modern songs arranged in barbershop style. They will perform on Wednesday, July 26. The U.S. Navy Concert Band will play on Monday, Aug. 7, sponsored by the Danvers Rotary.

On Wednesday, Aug. 9, Shark Martin – which plays all styles of music – will perform, sponsored by Yellow Jackets and Pediatric Dentistry of North Shore.

Decades of Rock, a seven-member band, will play on Monday, Aug. 21, sponsored by Detour Cars. The band performs classic rock like Cream and the Rolling Stones.

UC5 – who performs dance-driven classic rock – will play on Wednesday, Aug. 23, sponsored by Donald Nelson, Orthodontist, and Alan Shactman. Beatles cover band 4EverFab will play on Monday, Aug. 28, sponsored by Danvers Kiwanis, Mrs. Hot Dog, and Merchants Liquor.
