Danvers Teacher To Lead Debut Handbell Concert
The Back Bay Ringers will play a concert at the Shalin Liu on Sunday.
DANVERS, MA – Highlands Elementary School teacher and Salem State University Handbell Ensemble leader Griff Gall will lead the Back Bay Ringers handbell concert at the Shalin Liu in Rockport on Sunday. Gall is the founder and artistic director of the group.
The Ringers are also scheduled to make their guest debut with the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Holiday Pops on Wednesday night.
"I’m looking forward to sharing this season's BBR repertoire,” said Gall. "The ensemble has been working hard, preparing repertoire that highlights the musical possibilities of our beautiful handbells. Audiences will enjoy the variety of music, including a new arrangement of ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’ and a spirited arrangement of ‘God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen.’"
