Danvers Water Main Break Damages Collins Street

Water service was shut down to a handful of homes in the area overnight into Thursday morning.

DANVERS, MA — Crews spent part of Thursday cleaning up Collins Street after a water main break overnight caused damage and shut down service to a handful of homes.

The water main break occurred about 11 p.m. with crews working overnight to fix the break and restore service. The water started flowing through the faucets again about 5 a.m.

Officials said the road damage was to be fixed on Thursday.
