Danvers Water Main Flushing Program Continues
Check to see when your neighborhood will be affected.

DANVERS, MA – The Danvers DPW said on Facebook that the water main flushing program was in Zone 5 as of 9 a.m. Last week, the DPW excavated the valves in Zone 4 to speed up the process.
According to the town website, the Water Division started the annual flushing of the system on March 27. The process is done to remove sediment that has collected.
"You may notice some discoloration of the water when first used. Please run your cold water first for a few minutes to clear out any discoloration," read the notice on the town website. "It should clear up on its own within 1 hour; any lasting problems should be reported to the Water Division at 978-762-0231."
