Danvers YMCA Hosts Indoor Triathlon
The event had 35 participants and many local sponsors.

The Danvers Community YMCA hosted the Indoor Triathlon for a Cause this past Sunday where 35 male and female competitions participated in various events.
The triathletes ran or walked on a treadmill for 25 minutes, rode a stationary bike for 30 minutes, as well as a 15-minute swim in the community pool.
Sue Gieras of Danvers finished in first place for the women by completing 16.7 miles during the triathlon. Joanne Ahearn finished in second place in the women’s division. Tim Bogart of Lynn won the men’s division with a total triathlon distance of 18.21 miles completed, while Jonathan Milne took second place.

In addition to the 35 competitors, YMCA staff members and 10 volunteers were on hand to assist with the competition. Local businesses provided prizes and refreshments for the participants and volunteers. The Danvers Community YMCA hosts the Indoor Triathlon every May.
