Disc Golf Coming To Danvers
Baskets have arrived at the course at the Whipple Hill location near Endicott Park.
DANVERS, MA — Baskets have begun to arrive for the new disc golf court on Whipple Hill.
The disc golf course — for a game that is a combination of Frisbee and golf — is a shared-use trail project. Walking, hiking and mountain hiking are still encouraged at this location.
The town said installation of the targets and tee boxes is underway, along with landscape maintenance. Those headed to the course can access the town-owned park through parking at Endicott Park on Forest Street and walking across the street to the course.

Participants can play on their own accord, no tee times necessary.
Perhaps the greatest attribute of the sport is the low barrier to entry. A professional quality disc costs roughly $10-20, and it only takes one for basic play.
