Driver Charged With OUI After Rollover on Rt 114

The following excerpts are from reports in the Danvers Police Department press log from Nov. 26-28.
Tuesday, Nov. 26
- 12:26 a.m. Report of a pole down in the road on Maple Street.
- 12:25 p.m. Report of a hit-and-run accident on Oakland Road with property damage.
- 1:08 p.m. Report of a female shoplifter at Walmart. Police issued a court summons.
- 2:18 p.m. John Mumbauer, 38, of 115 Ash St., Danvers, was arrested, following a report of a vehicle with its windows smashed at Mumbauer's residence. He was charged with malicious damage to a motor vehicle, carrying a dangerous weapon and disorderly conduct.
- 4:22 p.m. Karen Gilbert, 29, of 102 Newbury St., Danvers, was arrested, following a report of a shoplifter at Walmart. She was charged with shoplifting by asportation after allegedly stealing baby formula and clothes.
- 10:26 p.m. Report of malicious damage at a Grandview Road home. A caller reported a "smashing" sound.
- 11:25 p.m. A Pickering Street resident reported threats.
- 11:47 p.m. Michael Mulligan, 41, of 164 North St., Salem, was arrested, following a motor vehicle stop on High Street. He was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and a marked lanes violation.
Wednesday, Nov. 27
- 7:50 a.m. Report of a larceny at Holten-Richmond Middle School.
- 11:19 a.m. Report of malicious damage at a Dyer Court residence.
- 11:56 a.m. Report of fraud by check at the CVS at the Danvers Plaza. Police issued a court summons.
- 1:31 p.m. A Vineyard Street resident reported a phone scam.
- 2:45 p.m. A clerk at the Citizens Bank inside Stop & Shop reported an armed robbery by a masked man. See related story.
- 5:52 p.m. Officers assisted with a pursuit at North Shore Community College. No further details were available.
- 6:45 p.m. Police and firefighters responded to a rollover car accident on Route 114. Officers said the male driver was able to free himself. The man was then arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
- 9:41 p.m. The department's K-9 unit assisted Topsfield police with a drug search in their town.
- 11:54 p.m. Report of a fight in progress at Maple Street Tavern.
Thursday, Nov. 28
- 12:35 p.m. Report of an intoxicated person at St. John's Prep. Officer Scott Frost reported making an arrest. No further details were available.
- 3:06 p.m. Report of fraud at the Marriott TownePlace Suites on Route 114.
- 6:48 p.m. Report of a past assault at a Route 114 residence. Police issued a court summons.
- 10:51 p.m. A caller reported suspicious activity on Centre Street and theft from a construction site.
