Based on the original screenplay by Dean Pitchford, and adapted for the stage by Pitchford and Walter Bobbie, "FOOTLOOSE" will feature extraordinary local talent who will bring to life the story of Ren McCormack, a teenager from Chicago, who moves to a small town with his mother and finds himself an outcast and at odds with a conservative pastor whose control of the town has led to the outlawing of dancing. With the help of the pastor's rebellious daughter, and a country hick who becomes his best friend, Ren turns the town on its head, convincing the pastor to allow the teens to dance, and in the process, helping the town to heal from a tragedy that has affected them all.
