Let the Parade of 50 Trees Start Your Holiday Season

Tapley Hall, 13 Page St., is Bursting With Holiday Trees, Wreaths, and Entertainment from Dec. 3 to Dec. 8

The 11th annual Parade of Trees will be held Tuesday, Dec. 3rd, through Sunday, Dec. 8th at Tapley Hall, 13 Page St., Danvers. View over 50 creatively-decorated faux trees and wreaths crafted and donated by local businesses, organizations and families. On Tuesday, Dec. 3rd all donors are honored with a preview party from 6-8 pm. which includes delicious food by Vinwood Caterers, sample beers by NBPT Brewing Co, and music from pianist Darren Muise. General admission is $20 for all non Parade donors with advance tickets required. Call the Danvers Historical Soc. office at 978 777 1666 to inquire about availability. Open viewing hours with free admission when raffle tickets will be sold are from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday thru Friday, Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. when all trees and wreaths will be raffled off. Raffle tickets are 10 for $10 and 25 for $20. Each day features a special event. Wednesday is singers, Dan and Lorraine at 1:00 - 2:30, Magic For All Ages by Eddie Gardner at 2:30 - 3:30. Thursday is a “Polar Express” party for children at 6:30 p.m. Children are encouraged to come in pajamas to enjoy the reading, receive a small holiday gift and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies. Friday there are children's activities in the afternoon followed by a Trio from Reflections Classic Rock Band from 6:30 to 8:30. Saturday student musicians from Music Connection School will be performing from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday students from the North Shore Dance Academy will perform from 12:30 to 1:00 p.m. followed by an Ice Cream Social hosted by the Cotton Mill Café (formerly Good Lickin' Ice Cream) from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Winning raffle tickets will be drawn at 3:15. This Danvers Historical Society fund raiser is a great way to start the holiday season.
