Low Flow In Ipswich River Forces Danvers Water Restrictions
The town moved to Level 3 Water Restrictions on Monday, limiting some outdoor watering activities.

DANVERS, MA -- Monday's showers won;t be enough to stop Danvers from moving to Level 3 Water Restrictions. The restrictions were put into effect as a result of the low water flow levels in the Ipswich River.
Level 3 drought conditions allow outdoor lawn & garden watering with sprinklers and/or irrigation systems on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday ONLY, from 7:00PM to 8:00AM the next day. Hand watering (hand held hoses with nozzles and watering cans) is allowed anytime. Car washing is also allowed.
For questions on the water restrictions or quality, call the Department of Public Works at 978-777-0001 x3011.
