Like Many Things, Modern Square Dancing Is Not Like It Used To Be
Learn How Square Dancing Has Changed

Riverside Square Dance Club in Danvers has been offering square dance classes for over 50 years but in that time they have really changed. The music in up to date and the dress is casual. What remains the same is it is still an inexpensive activety that offers great social interaction and mental and physical exercise.
Twice a year the club offers a free opportunity to try it out. Last Wednesday the weather was not the best for going out but everyone who didn't make it last week has another free opportunity to give modern square dancing a try on Wednesday, February 6th. Just stop by the All Saints Episcopal Church, 13 Holten St. in Danvers at from 7:00 to 9:00 pm and see what fun square dancing can be.
Modern square dancing can be a great family activity. No partner is needed. Anyone who can walk briskly can learn to square dance. It really helps to improve listening skills while generating smiles and laughter along the way. After the free introduction, the club hopes folks will want to learn more. Classes continue each Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30 for 15 weeks at a cost of $85 per person. For more information visit Riversidesquares.org, find us on Facebook, or call 978 774 8159.
