Massachusetts RMVs To Offer Expanded Senior Service Hours
Danvers, Watertown and Yamouth are among the first locations to offer expanded service hours for drivers 75 or older this month.
DANVERS, MA — Senior drivers will be able to go to the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles during dedicated hours for those 75 or older at 11 locations — following the success of the pilot program at the Danvers, Yarmouth and Watertown and other locations that began earlier this month — starting in October.
The new locations with dedicated seniors-only hours on Wednesday are Brockton, Fall River, Greenfield, Lawrence, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, North Adams, Pittsfield, Plymouth, Revere and Worcester.
The hours — which vary by location — will be for seniors 75 or older to renew licenses or identification cards expiring in September or October, or that were extended from March, April, May and June due to the coronavirus health crisis, and are due to expire soon.

The new hours will allow for those considered an at-risk population for complications from the virus to access services with social distancing and other health protocols. Information on branch hours can be found here.
In-person services will be prioritized by needs and are by appointment-only. RMV customers are encouraged to visit here for transactions that can be completed online, by mail or phone.
