McKinnon's Reopens Danvers Store

The supermarket chain closed its Danvers location for two days after employees tested positive for the coronavirus.

DANVERS, MA — McKinnon's Markets & Super Butcher Shops reopened its Danvers location Thursday following a two-day closure to clean the store and test workers after some employees tested positive for the new coronavirus.

All employees scheduled to work Thursday had been tested for COVID-19 and the store had undergone a two-day deep clean and sanitization. McKinnon's had originally planned to reopen Wednesday but extended the closure to set up enhanced guidelines for workers.

The company said it has been working closely with Danvers health officials.
"The Town of Danvers is not able to confirm specific cases of COVID19 due to privacy concerns," the town of Danvers said in a statement Tuesday. "We have found McKinnon's to be following all guidance, and do not recommend that persons who entered McKinnon's quarantine for 14 days."
