Nighttime Route 128 Closures Coming To Danvers, Peabody
The shifting lane closures will take place May 23 through May 27 as part of the last phase of the Waters Rivers Bridge replacement project.
DANVERS, MA — Temporary lane closures are in store for the Waters River Bridge stretch of Route 128 northbound and southbound next week as crews wrap up the last phase of the $24.7 million bridge reconstruction project.
The nighttime shifting lane closures will take place between Route 114 and Endicott Street near the Danvers/Peabody line. They are scheduled to begin Sunday night at 8 p.m. and go through Friday morning at 5 a.m. restarting at 8 p.m. each weeknight.
Exits also may be temporarily closed.

The state Department of Transportation said the work will require closures to allow crews to conduct paving, pavement markings and barrier relocation operations to shift traffic toward the median in order to complete the last phase of the replacement construction.
Drivers should expect delays, reduce speed and use caution.
