Obituary: Joseph A. Provencher; Proud Owner of a Three-Generation Moving Company, Provencher Van Lines

In addition to his accomplishments, he took great pleasure in dancing and engaging in his hobby at the Danvers Fish and Game Club.

Joseph A. Provencher, 83, of Danvers passed away Sunday afternoon, September 27, 2015, at his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of the late Barbara F. Cosentino Provencher.

Born in Salem, he was the son of late Adelard Provencher and Annie BolducProvencher.

Joseph was the proud owner of a three generation moving company, Provencher Van Lines, which was established in 1920. He successfully operated Provencher Van Lines for several years up until his retirement in 2008. Nothing made Joseph more proud than taking pride in his professional role as a successful business owner, which provided what he needed to support his family, a husband and a father to eight children. In addition to his accomplishments, he took great pleasure in dancing and engaging in his hobby at the Danvers Fish and Game Club.

Joseph is survived by his daughters, Joan Champanis of Lynn, Janet Campbell of Danvers, Ann Khader of Peabody, Barbara Trainor of Salem and Maryann McElroy of Danvers, his sons, Joseph Provencher of Peabody and Richard Provencher of Danvers, his brothers, Clifford Provencher and Albert Provencher and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

ARRANGEMENTS: Relatives and friends are invited to his funeral Mass which will be held in Immaculate Conception Church, Hawthorne Blvd., Salem, Thursday, October 1st, at 10 A.M. Burial in Annunciation Cemetery, Danvers, Visiting hours omitted. Assisting the family with the arrangements is the Peterson O’Donnell Funeral Home, 167 Maple St., (Rte 62) Danvers.
